Sponsor a Child
There are currently over 300 children in need of sponsor- ship. For just $30 per month, you can sponsor a child in the Hope for the Hopeless Program. Your sponsorship provides the child with food, clothing and other basic necessities, education and medical care. Your sponsorship of a child also helps to support the family and community in which the child lives. For about $1 a day, you can literally change the life of a child. You will receive a picture and profile information for your sponsored child. Updates are provided and you can correspond with your child periodically.

Supportive Funds Donation
Additional supportive funds are urgently needed due to the ongoing global food crisis and uncontrolled inflation in Ethiopia. Your one time gift or ongoing monthly gift will help to supplement the operating expenses in Ethiopia. The skyrocketing food costs have forced a reduction in the amount and quality of the food that the children are receiving. The most recent medical exam revealed weight-loss in nearly every child over a period of three months. These supportive funds in addition to the sponsorship funds will ensure that the children are receiving adequate amounts of food. These funds will also be used to support the growth of the program and to provide the supplies necessary to care for additional children.

Construction Fund

This is true of life and it is true of the building project that Hope for the Hopeless has undergone for the last several years. As we move slowly towards our goal of building a school on the property we are not without challenges. The rain has slowed down much of the construction and we hope to resume building once again when the rainy season is over. Thankfully even the dampness hasn’t stopped our dedicated and loyal partners. There is a mission team arriving to paint the girls and boys dormitories in late September! As we move along in the building of the school and the dormitories let us remember that through the trials there is a deeper work being done, the unseen construction of character. It is the building of perseverance and what will sprout into a beautiful bud of deeper faith producing fruit for the whole world to see. Let us remember to pray for the children as they stand the physical challenge of waiting for their buildings.

Donated Items
We gladly accept donated items that can be transported to Ethiopia with one of our upcoming travel groups. Drop-off locations are conveniently located in various areas around Phoenix. The following is a list of the items we are currently in need of:

* Children’s chewable vitamins
* Adult multi-vitamins
* Children’s clothing for boys and girls ages 6-17 (no shorts please)
* Shoes for ages 6-17
* Socks and underwear
* Boys athletic clothing
* Educational supplies (computers, CD’s for ESL, books in English)
* Entertainment supplies (paper, board games, balls of all kinds, puzzles, art supplies)
