Her name is Emawaish Dejene, and she is with the Lord. Ema (as referred to throughout the article) was more than an employee of Hope for the Hopless, she was a mother figure to the children. For over five years, Ema cared for, loved, encouraged, taught, and engaged the children of Hope for the Hopeless. She was more than a colleague for the staff. She was a dear friend. She spent most of her time and nearly all of her days, loving the Lord by loving His children.

Ema became ill last Tuesday and was admitted to the hospital. She had severe gastric issues that resulted in her passing. The death was unexpected and truly shocking to both staff and the children.

We ask that you pray for Ema's family. She was unmarried, but loved by many. We also ask that you pray for the children and staff at Hope for the Hopeless as they are truly suffering with her loss. You probably recognize Ema by the picture which has been featured in black and white on the home page of our Hope for the Hopeless website. Her memory will remain with Hope and we are eager to meet her again in our Heavenly home one day. God bless you, Ema.
